I find it hard
To really get up and go
When I’ve got no way to know
What I’m to do
But that’s conjecture
It’s frankly self pity
Indulging what I see
Outside of truth
Oh Prayer’s lost
To the postage cost
But I guess I’ll send it again
Each word tumbles off of
My two lips
And I hear them hit
The ceiling
Oh can You hear me?
It’s not all that bad
And I’m aware it’s my own fault
There’s too many words thrown around my skull
To hear the still small voice
But I’m tired of seeking patience
Using the same old estimations
I’ve gotta hear You
God let me hear You
Hear Your voice
Oh Prayer’s lost
To the postage cost
But I guess I’ll send it again
Each word tumbles off of
My two lips
And I hear them hit
The ceiling
Oh can You hear me?
I see now that there’s no room
For response
When I keep going on and on
It’s cyclical I’m rambling along
But maybe if I ask some more
My voice will ring a perfect chord
And I’ll get an answer from my Lord
Oh Prayer’s lost
To the postage cost
But I guess I’ll send it again
Each word tumbles off of
My two lips
And I hear them hit
The ceiling
Oh can You hear me?
